Appointment of the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Public Properties Company SA (“ETAD”)

The Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations S.A. (“HCAP”) announces the appointment of the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Public Properties Company SA (“ETAD”), which will be in office on May 27th 2020.

The Board of Directors of HCAP, sole shareholder of ETAD, as per their authority and according to the procedure of article 197 par.4 law 4389/2016, following the resignation of the BoD Chairman of ETAD, unanimously decided the appointment of Mr. Antonios Bezas as Chairman, Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of ETAD, in order to meet, in cooperation with the other BoD Members, the challenges and the opportunities deriving from the ETAD and to contribute to the value enhancement of public real estate.

The Board of Directors of HCAP welcomes the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and wishes him success, within the scope of his duties as well as in the achievement of the strategic objectives of the company. Moreover, HCAP would like to thank the previous BoD Chairman of ETAD for his contribution during the last years.

ETAD will continue to implement its strategic planning and the maturing, valuation and exploitation according to best practices, of the real estate portfolio. These objectives will contribute to the development of the Greek real estate market, attract investments and support economic recovery both locally and nationally.

The short CV of the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Public Properties Company SA (“ETAD”):

Antonios Bezas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ETAD, Non-Executive Member
He was born in 1963. He studied at the School of Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTU-1986). He worked as engineer designer specializing in the anti-seismic behavior of constructions and as a special consultant in the Local Government with objects of urban and spatial planning, the implementation of co-financed programs and regional development. He has served as municipal (1994-1998) and prefectural councilor (1998-2001), Member of Parliament for Thesprotia (2000-2009 and 2012-2015), Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs (2012-2013), Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance (2005-2009). ) responsible for taxation, public property and bequests, Deputy Minister of Health (2012-2013) responsible for the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) and the Primary Health Care (PHC) and Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security (2013-2014) responsible for social security. His areas of experience include, inter alia, organizational restructuring, reform promotion and financial consolidation.
