Growthfund Appoints New CEO at Corinth Canal S.A.
The Board of Directors of Growthfund appoints Dr. Athanasios Bikas as the new Chief Executive Officer of Corinth Canal S.A. (AEDIK)
The Board of Directors of Growthfund appoints Dr. Athanasios T. Bikas as the new Chief Executive Officer of Corinth Canal S.A. (AEDIK). Mr. Bikas brings over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles within major international organizations, with expertise in strategic development, financial management, and operational management.
The new composition of AEDIK’s Board of Directors is as follows:
Growthfund warmly thanks the outgoing CEO, Mr. Vassilis Andrikopoulos, for his valuable and long-standing contribution to the company, and welcomes Dr. Bikas as the new CEO of AEDIK. His extensive experience in high-responsibility positions and his international career are a strong guarantee for advancing the company’s strategic development and further enhancing its role.
Dr. Athanasios T. Bikas Short CV
Dr. Athanasios T. Bikas is a Mechanical Engineering PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (2000), with over 20 years of executive leadership in industrial services, elevators, and operations across Europe and Africa. In his last role he served as Deputy Managing Director/COO at Muehlhan Industrial Services (since 06/2024), overseeing 60M€ revenue and 800 employees in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Las Palmas, and Netherlands, focusing on marine, insulation, scaffolding, and fire protection sectors. Previously, he served as Managing Director at Valsamidis SA (2019–2024), launching Hyundai elevators in Greece; Otis Africa (2018–2019) with 140M$ revenue across 28 countries; Otis West Balkans (2016–2018); and Otis Greece & Cyprus (2011–2018), driving reorganizations, acquisitions, and market share growth. He held leadership positions as President of the Greek Elevator Association, General Secretary of the Association of Chief Executives Officers, and Member of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises. Enhanced by executive education from Stanford GSB LEAD Program (2022–2023) and Darden Business School’s UTC Emerging Leaders Executive MBA (2009), his skills encompass strategic mindset, financial acumen and Business Development. Fluent in Greek and English.
