Growthfund appoints Gregory Sklikas new CEO of ELTA (Hellenic Post SA)

The Board of Directors of Growthfund appoints Gregory Sklikas the new CEO of ELTA (Hellenic Post SA)Gregory Sklikas is an executive with international experience, having spent most of his career in management positions at multinationals in the Food & Beverage sectors. He has worked in mature and developing markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, and has lived in Greece, the Arabian Peninsula, the Netherlands and Ireland.

His long professional experience and high level of specialisation in the fields of Value Engineering & Integration, as well as Expansion & Development strategies, with emphasis on the customer experience, were key criteria in his selection. Growthfund CEO Gregory D. Dimitriadis made the following statement regarding the new appointment: “We welcome Gregory Sklikas to the Growthfund family. With his long experience, Gregory Sklikas will support our strategy for implementing the plan for transforming ELTA, in tandem with putting the company on a growth trajectory. In its role of active shareholder, Growthfund will do everything it can to contribute in this direction.”

Marios Tempos, Growthfund’s Group Procurement & Operations Officer, who until this time served as transitional CEO of Hellenic Post S.A., is appointed transitional CEO of ELTA Courier S.A., given the expiration of Errikos Tzavaras’s term.

Gregory Sklikas is an executive with international experience. He has spent most of his career in management positions at multinational leaders in the dairy, baked goods, soft drinks & ice cream sectors. He has worked in mature and growing markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, and has lived with his family in Greece, the Arabian Peninsula, the Netherlands and Ireland. He specializes in Value Engineering, Integration, and Expansion & Development strategies. He served as the Dublin-based CEO Europe for Aryzta, a leader in the frozen baked goods sector. Previously, he spent 11 years at Royal FrieslandCampina, a global dairy leader; was a member of the global Executive Board of FrieslandCampina and President for Europe, Middle East & Africa, based in The Hague; and earlier served as Managing Director of FrieslandCampina South East Europe & CEO of FC Hellas (NOYNOY). He also worked at Unilever for 14 years, most recently as Managing Director of Algida, and previously as the Jeddah-based Middle East Business Development Manager. He recently returned to Greece and worked as a business consultant collaborating with BCG. He has studied Economics and holds an MSc Computer Science. He has travelled extensively and enjoys the challenges of the market as an opportunity for business and personal development. He is married with two children.
