Appointment of new BoD member

The Supervisory Board during its meeting held on February 25, 2022, decided unanimously to elect Mr. Iordanis Aivazis as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of HCAP. His term of office starts on March 1, 2022 and expires on February 15, 2025. Mr. Aivazis replaces Mr. Markos Veremis who resigned on November 30, 2021 for reasons of time commitment due to his professional obligations.

Mr. Aivazis was born on February 24, 1950 in Cairo. He is a graduate of the University of Athens with a degree in Economics. He completed postgraduate studies in Economics (Postgraduate Diploma in Economics) and Marketing and Finance (M.A.) at the University of Lancaster (England). He worked in managerial positions in Greek and foreign banks in Greece, while he was General Manager of Financial Services (CFO) and Chief Executive Officer (Chief Operating Officer) of OTE SA. After the acquisition of OTE by Deutsche Telekom (DT), he was also a member (Executive) of the Board of Directors of OTE and the European Management Board of DT. He was also a member of the Executive Board of the Financial Stability Fund (HFSF). Today he is an Independent Non-Executive member of the BoDs of ELPE S.A. and Frigoglass A.E. In ELPE he is also a member of the Audit Committee, while in both companies he is the Chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He is also the Chair of the Special Liquidations Committee (EPEIDEKKA) of the Bank of Greece. He speaks English and French.
