Growthfund launched two important initiatives for the people of the Group

At a special intragroup conference attended by the Group’s employees, Growthfund presented its first online training platform with a sustainability theme, namely the “Sustainability Academy”, and a Handbook against Sexual Harassment and Violence in the Workplace.

The Sustainability Academy is an initiative led by Growthfund in collaboration with the Institute for Sustainable Development, EPLO – European Public Law Organization and the ESG rating and training services company, Verimpact500 employees will be trained through the Sustainability Academy initiative which aims to actively contribute to raising awareness and training the employees on ESG issues. This innovative online platform offers ease of access to trainees who can attend the courses from any device. Upon completing the training successfully, a relevant certification is being issued. This horizontal action targets the creation of a common sustainability culture across the Growthfund Group.

Mr. Spyros Kouvelis, Director of the EPLO Institute for Sustainable Development, congratulated Growthfund on the initiative and reportedly said that the dissemination of sustainability themes along with a hands-on training for employees across the Growthfund Group can significantly contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goals achievement.

During the conference, the handbook for preventing and combating sexual harassment and violence in the workplace, prepared for Growthfund with advisory support from the expert organization Women on Top, was also presented. The handbook raises and explains key sexual harassment issues and features relevant examples of incidents and behaviors. It also describes the process to be followed by sexual harassment victims as per existing policies and mechanisms applicable at Growthfund.

Ms. Stella Kasdagli, co-founder of Women On Top organization, stated that “the best results against sexual harassment are achieved through the establishment of robust policies, the implementation of preventive measures, and through raising awareness and educating those involved to matters of equality and mutual respect in the workplace.”

These two initiatives are part of the comprehensive Sustainability Strategy drawn up by Growthfund, which includes specific, measurable goals for its subsidiaries” said Ms. Anthi Trokoudi, Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer of Growthfund, stressing that “a common perception of sustainability is a prerequisite for successful implementation“.
