The Hellenic Growth Fund announces that it has received three (3) financial offers in the international tender for the development of the “Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Centre” property. The site covers approximately 996,920 sq.m. and is located at “Pousi Bartzi – Merenta” in the Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias, East Attica.

Offers were submitted by the following companies (in alphabetical order of the Greek original):

– HELLENIC EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION
– APLEKTON HOLDINGS Co. Ltd.
– ELIA CORPORATION S.A.

The offers will be opened at one of the upcoming meetings of the Hellenic Growth Fund’s Board of Directors.

Under the terms of the Invitation to Submit Offers dated 5 December 2025, the property will be developed through the creation and transfer of a 99-year surface right.

The property was built for, and first used during, the 2004 Olympic Games. It combines indoor and outdoor facilities for equestrian sport, including stables, arenas and an administration building, among others. It lies within the archaeological site of the ancient settlement of Myrrhinous and borders the Racecourse to the east.

Under Law 3342/2005 on post-Olympic use, in addition to the existing facilities, the following may be built: an entrance lodge with toilets, a ticket office, a golf course, an equestrian museum, riding and jockey schools, equestrian shops, exhibition, dining and auction areas, a hotel, a heliport, a park suitable for triathlon and leisure riding, and parking areas.
