George Spiliopoulos takes over as the new CEO of Athens Transport – OASA Group

Growthfund announces the appointment of Mr. Giorgos Spiliopoulos as the new CEO of the OASA Group, effective from 9/1/2023, replacing Mrs. Iris Antonopoulos, who served as interim CEO of the Group from 22/12/2021 to today. 

Mr. Spiliopoulos is a Chemical Engineer, PhD, with long-standing experience at Barilla and Procter & Gamble companies in Greece, Italy and Switzerland, where he achieved a record of rapid growth, geographic expansion and successful development and implementation of corporate transformation projects. 

At Barilla he assumed increasing responsibilities, initially as Technical Director and Human Resources Director in Southeast Europe, then General Manager, and was subsequently appointed Vice President of Eastern Europe and Vice President of Group Organization of the Parma-based organization. He led the establishment and development of the Cluster of 19 Southeast European countries based in Athens. He was Chairman of Boards of Directors in Greece, Croatia, Slovenia and Poland. At P&G he was director of Industry and Human Resources in Greece and the European administrative center in Geneva. 

His successful tenure in strategic positions, his experience in empowering and utilizing executives and his international experience are the guarantee for the further development of the OASA Group. 

Growthfund congratulates Mr. Spiliopoulos on assuming his new duties and warmly thanks Ms. Irida Antonopoulou for her excellent contribution as interim CEO of OASA; thanks to her long and valuable experience in the Group, she is being appointed Deputy CEO and Executive Director.
