Athens International Airport

AIA was founded in 1996 through a Public Private Partnership. The Airport Development Agreement provides for a 50-year assignment, i.e. the exclusive right to possess and use the property for the “design, financing, construction, completion, commissioning, maintenance, operation, administration and development of the airport”.
